  Go for the burger first, make repeat visits to try the other sandwiches if you want, or order a few different and share. But, we go there for the cheeseburgers and when with the first bite you go "mmmmm that is a tasty burger" you know it's good, delicious meat, bun, ripe tomatoes etc, fries too. Nice vintage setting in a nice clean town. Been there countless times, always good. Noon time lunches with lots of locals makes it that much more enjoyable, unlike some of the "created atmosphere" eateries that are common. This is the real deal.

  We've been here several times for breakfast and it's one of my favorite places to go. The hotcakes are amazing, and the sausage, made fresh that day is to die for! The service is great too. Thompson's Store has a lot to choose from, fresh sausage, stone ground grit, chow chow and so much more. Both of these are worth checking out if you're in Saluda.
